Assessments
Psycho-Educational Assessments
Sometimes it’s hard to know why your child is struggling at school — is it attention, memory, confidence, or something else?
A psycho-educational assessment gives us a clear picture of how your child learns, where their strengths lie, and what might be holding them back. You’ll walk away with practical recommendations to help your child feel more capable and supported at school and at home.
Concession Assessments
Exams can feel extra overwhelming for learners who need a little more time or support.
Concession assessments help us see whether your child qualifies for accommodations such as extra time, a reader, or a scribe. I work with schools and exam boards (IEB, GDE, Cambridge, and others) to ensure your child has the tools they need to demonstrate what they truly know — without unnecessary stress.
Grade 1 Readiness Assessments
Starting “big school” is an exciting milestone, but it can also feel daunting for parents. A Grade 1 readiness assessment helps answer the question: Is my child ready?
We look at thinking skills, emotional readiness, social development, and motor skills. The results give you peace of mind — and, if needed, ideas for early support so your child can thrive from day one.
Voice of a Child Assessments
Children often communicate their needs and feelings in ways that aren’t always easy for adults to pick up on.
A Voice of the Child Assessment creates a safe, structured space for children to share their experiences, worries, and perspectives. This process offers meaningful insight into the child’s inner world, supporting parents, teachers, and professionals in making thoughtful, informed decisions that uphold the child’s wellbeing and best interests.
Please note: I do not conduct Voice of the Child Assessments for psycho-legal purposes.
Therapy
Play Therapy
For children, play is more than just fun — it’s how they make sense of the world.
In play therapy, toys, games, and creative activities become their “language.” It gives them a safe space to work through worries, big feelings, or tricky situations, all at their own pace. Along the way, I help them build emotional skills, resilience, and confidence, while keeping parents in the loop with guidance and feedback.
Family Therapy
Every family goes through ups and downs, and sometimes patterns of conflict, stress, or miscommunication can leave everyone feeling stuck.
Family therapy creates a safe space where family members can come together, share their perspectives, and learn healthier ways of relating to one another. It’s not about pointing fingers — it’s about strengthening understanding, improving communication, and finding new ways to support each other. These sessions can be especially helpful during times of change, after loss or separation, or when everyday challenges start to feel overwhelming.
Individual Therapy
Therapy isn’t just for one age group — it can be helpful for children, teens, and adults alike.
Sessions focus on making sense of patterns that may have developed over time — the thoughts, emotions, and relationships that shape how a person sees themselves and others. Through this process, therapy helps build awareness, confidence, and emotional flexibility, allowing for healthier ways of coping, connecting, and responding to life’s challenges.
Parent-Child Bonding
The relationship between a parent and child is one of the most powerful tools for emotional growth and security.
In parent–child bonding sessions, the focus is on strengthening this bond through guided activities that build trust, communication, and closeness. These sessions are especially valuable when children are experiencing attachment difficulties, after a period of stress, separation, or big life changes — or simply for families who want to strengthen their connection in a meaningful way.
Parent Support
Parenting can feel overwhelming — and you don’t have to do it alone.
I work with parents, caregivers and guardians to better understand your child’s needs and behaviour, and to find strategies that actually work for your family. Together, we explore what’s realistic, practical, and age-appropriate, so that family life feels calmer and more connected.
Career Guidance
Choosing a career isn’t about ticking a box — it’s about discovering what really fits.
My approach is guided rather than test-driven. Through an interactive process, we explore your teen’s strengths, values, and interests, helping them think practically about their future. The process is collaborative and empowering, encouraging thoughtful decision-making and fostering a clearer sense of direction for the path ahead.
Workshops and Talks
Alongside my one-on-one work, I also enjoy running workshops and talks for schools, teachers, parents, and students. These sessions are designed to be practical, engaging, and easy to apply in everyday life.
